Account Officer

Employer: Good Neighbors International an International Non-governmental Organization working in the field of Education Development and Income Generation with the Community Development Approach since 2002 in Nepal invites the application for the following post from the qualified and deserving candidates.

Position: Account Officer (required -1)

The Account Officer is mainly responsible to maintain the financial report, checking and monitoring the budget, maintaining the inventory and providing the support to the Executive Director with 20% of field visit.

Major Job Responsibilities:

· Preparing the cash journal and finance reports.

· Book Keeping and ledger posting.

· Submitting the annual internal audit of the counterpart organizations and it’s projects.

· Monitoring the transaction of the requisition and cash flow of the counterpart organization and its projects.

· Coordinating in external audit of the organizations and counterpart organization.

· Conducting training and workshop on to the concern staffs of the organization and counterpart organization.

Desired Competency and Education:

· The basic and good understanding on budgetary control.

· Book keeping, record keeping and filing system.

· Experience in cash handling and treasury operations with advanced knowledge of using spread sheets for tracking expenses; and Payroll system with tax applications.

· Having the ability to exercise controls for ensuring proper transactions.

· Classifying, summarizing the income and expenses having ability of computer based accounting system.

· Maintaining the confidentiality.

· BBS/BBA in Account/Finance.

· 4 years experience in accounting/finance in the context of Nepal at I/NGO.

· Fluency in English and Nepali.
