Community Health and Development Officer

Employer: International Nepal Fellowship (INF), a Christian non-government organisation, working in the field of health services and development in the Western and Mid-Westen Regions of Nepal for 56 years. The INF Dang progrmme (IDP) is some of the six district programmes, serving the people of Rapti zone since 1973. It provides rehabilitation and support services to people affected by tuberculosis, leprosy and general disabilities. Administrative Officer (NO-B), Kathmandu

Employer: the United Nations Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) in Nepal. The Office has a mandate to monitor the observance of human rights with a view to advising the authorities of Nepal on the formulation and implementation of policies, programmes and measures for the promotion of human rights in Nepal.

Responsibilities: Under the direct supervision of the Authorized Coordinator and the Deputy Representative, the incumbent will perform the following main functions:

Qualifications and other desirable skills for the position:

An advanced university degree preferably in Public or Business Administration, Human Resources Management or related field. A combination of relevant academic qualifications and experience might be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.

A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience at the national or international level in providing HR advisory services and/or managing staff and operational systems. Ability to plan own work, manage priorities to meet deadlines and work under pressure. Fluency in spoken and written English and Nepali is essential; including the ability to understand and carry out instructions and communicate in the same language. Good computer skills, including proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets and relevant software packages. Good interpersonal skills, works collaboratively with colleagues to achieve organizational goals. Ability to maintain effective working relationship with partners, and work in multi-cultural environment with sensitivity and respect for diversity. Experience in Administration, Human Resources Managemnt, Finance, Procurement and knowledge of UN procedures are assets.

Human Resource Development Officer

Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Specialist

BEFORE YOU NOMINATE please note that EarthCorps is required by the US government to ensure that every applicant meets strict criteria in order to qualify for a US J-1 Trainee visa. Before you nominate please make sure your candidates meet the following minimum criteria:
4 year college degree in the environmental field and 1 year of relevant work experience*-OR-
5 years of work experience in the environmental field*
* These criteria are only for meeting US government regulations regarding the J-1 Trainee visa. US American team members may have less experience than this when entering the program.

Candidate Nomination Dead Line: November 28
Applicant Application Dead Line: December 31
Participant selection: January
Visa processing: February – April
Travel confirmation: May
EarthCorps Program starting date: June
EarthCorps Program graduation: December
