Finance Manager (FM)

VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

Practical Action is an International NGO, working in South Asia, Southern and Eastern Africa and Latin America with Head Office in the UK. It aims to reduce poverty in developing countries - by introducing appropriate technologies for the communities, demonstrating results, sharing knowledge, building capacity to replicate and influencing others for scaling up.
Practical Action Nepal Office seeks to recruit Finance Manager (FM) for its Country Office in Kathmandu.
Major Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Head of Finance, Administration and Personnel, the FM will be responsible for financial compliance particularly donor reporting, monitoring and reporting on partners accounts, and capacity building of regional office accountants and programme staff in budget management.

Specific Responsibilities:
• Prepare financial reports for donors and track the donor claims
• Monitor and report on Practical Action Nepal Office partners’ account
• Visit project sites and build capacity of implementing partners in financial management
• Ensure quality of partners' financial reports and recommend for releasing instalments
• Build capacity of regional office accountants and project staff in budget management,
• Assist in Head Office reporting as per the requirements of organisation.

Minimum Qualifications:
Masters in Business Administration (MBA) with three years of related work experience in development organisations, strong communication skills in English and Nepali, and basic computing skills.
