Interesting opportunities with a child focused Japanese INGO

Employer: Child Fund Japan, an international NGO supporting child sponsorship programmes in Nepal.

Position: Senior admin and Finance Officer (one)

Duty Station: Kathmandu

Major responsibilities:
  • Overall admin and finance responsibilities of the organisation
  • daily transaction of Kathmandu office
  • prepare financial reports to donors and headquarter
  • internal audit of fund utilised by partner NGOs and their capacity building
  • budget preparation and its monitoring
  • development of internal policies/ human resource management
Qualification/ requirements:
  • Nepali citizen
  • Minimum Bachelors in Accounts
  • Minimum 8 years experience as senior accountant in INGOs
  • experience in capacity building of partner NGOs in financial management
  • experience in donor reporting
  • good knowledge on computer and accounting software
  • fluent in spoken and written Nepalese and English
Position: Senior Programme Officer (one)

Duty Station: Kathmandu

Major responsibilities:
  • Prepare annual program plan and budget
  • monitoring projects implemented by partner NGOs and their capacity building
  • involves frequent field visit
  • make preparation for sponsorship program
Qualification/ requirements:
  • Nepali citizen
  • Minimum Bachelors in related fields
  • Minimum 8 years experience as senior program officer in INGOs
  • experience n child programs, education a must
  • experiences in conducting trainings on the Convention on the Rights of the Child and Rights Based Approach
  • Experience in human resource/organisational development including those of partner NGOs
  • fluent in spoken and written Nepalese and English
Terms of employment: One-year-basis contracts with possibility of extension.
