Programme Officer (Public Health - water and sanitation)

Employer: OXFAM, Nepal - a part of a global organisation that seeks to change the way the world works; works with others to overcome poverty and suffering and to promote gender equity.

Position: a fixed term contract for two years.

Duty Station: Kathmandu with at least 75% field visits;possibility of temporary/seasonal relocation to project area districts.

Responsibilities: to provide technical support, liaise, coordinate, monitoring partners on public health particularly on water and sanitation programme activities.

Person Specification:
  • relevant field level experience essential;
  • at least a graduate in Public Health or Engineering (water and sanitation);
  • a minimum of three years of experience working in an I/NGO and CBOs;
  • a high level competency in communication,reporting, facilitation skills and training;
  • skills and experience on financial and administration management;
  • computer literacy - MS Word and Spreadsheet;
  • Fluency in both written and spoken English and Nepali; and
  • ability to learn and work independently with minimal supervision.
