Community Health and Development Officer

Employer: International Nepal Fellowship (INF), a Christian non-government organisation, working in the field of health services and development in the Western and Mid-Westen Regions of Nepal for 56 years. The INF Dang progrmme (IDP) is some of the six district programmes, serving the people of Rapti zone since 1973. It provides rehabilitation and support services to people affected by tuberculosis, leprosy and general disabilities. It aims to change the attitude of people towards people affected by disability and advocates on behalf of and provides support to disabled and marginalized people for accessing medical and socio-economic services.
Moreover, INF Dang program has started Community Health and Developemnt (CHD) work in Dang district from this fiscal year 2065-99.

Position: Community Health and Development Officer (Section Head) – 1 position.
Applications are invited from Nepali citizens and INF staff who are dynamic, innovative, well motivated, enthusiastic and technically sound person in the field of Community Development including health.

Qualifications, experience and skills:
-Bachelors degree in Public Health of Community Development or Rural Development of Sociology or any other relevant subject.
-At least 2 years relevant work experience and experience of managing projects and staff/volunteers.

Preference may be given to those who have longer experience in community health and development projects. Masters degree in relevant subject, good understanding, experience and knowledge of providing and designing training to community groups, recent experience and knowledge on holistic approach of development, knowledge of the bottom up development process (GAP approach).
